We practiced butt kicks this morning: lifting the knee before exaggerating the backwards kick (not just kicking backwards) and using arms too!

This drill helps activate and condition glutes and hamstrings as well as provide plyometric training.

We beat the red list home, five days quarantine now before test to release and back to face to face work on Monday. So impressed with the Bahraini system of entry and arrival testing, test and trace, vaccination requirement and mask wearing. And their swift and clear lockdown. We weren’t even asked for passenger locator forms or negative covid test results on arrival at Heathrow…🤦🏻‍♀️

Bahrain cases are dropping rapidly, hopefully it’ll be off the red list soon so I can see my husband again 🤞🏻

I was kind of hoping I wouldn’t still need to wear ALL my clothes for a coaching session in May…🤦🏻‍♀️

Week four of the beginners running group was definitely a lesson in not being put off by rotten weather. They worked really hard: mobility, a new pre-run activation set, some drills, then 4 x 5 mins with 2 mins walking. Lots of focus on pacing again as setting off too fast is a common theme!
